Designed for this setting
The Hillside brings contemporary Austin design into a wooded Hill Country landscape. Its original team shared a vision: distinctive homes shaped by the character of the hillside.
The developer · CSGM
Austin-based CSGM assembled the original development team, bringing housing development and asset management experience to a carefully considered plan for the site.
The architect · JZMK Partners
Selected for its experience with hillside communities and familiarity with the Texas Hill Country, JZMK Partners worked with CSGM to refine the architecture around the natural setting.
The builder · Prestige Builders
Local custom home builder Prestige Builders carried out the original construction. Cedar, steel, and Austin white limestone give the residences their distinctive Urban Hill Country character.

Gray fox A quiet presence in wooded Texas landscapes, the gray fox is recognizable by its silver-gray coat and rusty accents. Its varied diet includes small animals and seasonal fruit.

Monarch butterfly Orange wings, black veins, and white-spotted edges make this traveler easy to recognize. Milkweed supports its caterpillars, while flowering plants provide nectar for adult butterflies.

Ringtail Big eyes and a long, banded tail give this small mammal its unmistakable look. An agile climber, the ringtail moves through rocky and wooded habitats in search of insects, fruit, and small prey.

Bald eagle A striking reminder of the value of conservation. Adult bald eagles have a white head and tail, and fish are an important part of their diet. Give these powerful birds plenty of space.

White-tailed deer A familiar neighbor in Texas woodlands, named for the bright white underside of its tail. Its coloring blends into the landscape—a good reason to slow down and watch carefully near natural areas.

Golden-cheeked warbler Small bird, strong Texas roots. This distinctive songbird nests only in Texas and breeds in the Hill Country’s mixed hardwood and juniper woodlands—habitat the preserve helps protect.
